You came to this page because it would answer the question you were dying to know. Why a blog? This is why: (to see the short version, just look at the end)
Recently I've discovered that I don't have hobbies. I am bored. I mean, I have Netflix and Pinterest, but perhaps there's more to life than just seeing the hobbies of other people. I need a "thing." While other people might have painting as their "thing" or collecting dead bugs as their "thing," I have no-"thing." (see what I did there? nothing)
Anyway, once I took the first step in admitting to myself that I have been wasting my life, I perused a very long list of "things" people have claimed as their hobbies. There was boating and archery and comic book collecting. There was cooking, metal detecting, and I even considered homebrewing :) However, after taking into account that I don't live on a lake, I don't have the patience to cook, I have no use for alcohol, and since I am starting college this fall, which has left me quite destitute, blogging was one "thing" I figured I could handle.
Now, this is not my first attempt. I've had blogs before, but that was when I was twelve and those were the dark ages when it came to pictures. and posts. and everything. One post was me demonstrating how to eat a popsicle. I photographed the sequence. Each bite. That is what I mean by the dark ages.
I hope that I don't slip back into those dark times when I was crazy, but I also plan to have fun on the way. I'll try to add pictures because looking at a lot of words is pretty boring. I admit that when it comes to blogs, I really only look at the pictures and if there is not a 70:30 ratio of picture to words, I skip the words altogether. I realize that this post doesn't have a picture. Call me a hypocrite. But we'll see if photography also becomes one of my hobbies...
Anyway, to answer the question in a sentence, This blog is going to be my pet hobby.
Thanks, Bye
Joyjoy
